The Blue Bird's Song

12/21/2011

"Blue bird, sat in the tree, sing me a song and tell me where you have been."

"I've been sailing above treetops, flying high, so very high,
far up into heaven beyond the distant sky.
I've seen the vastness of the oceans, their blue-green tipped with surf.
I've seen diamonds in their settings, nestled deep within the earth--
and even there, they capture the light.

"I've seen the benevolence and beauty of people passing by,
and have watched in amazement as some venture to climb
the highest peaks of mountains,
to gain just a glimpse
of what it is that I see.

"My feathered tips have carried me, as I'm taken by the winds,
to mystical lands and places far beyond my dreams.
They exist in secret corners, that others do not know,
and there walk the Ancient Ones
—in their solace and divine spirit.

"There, they plan the future
of how humankind might grow;
some plans are written as law
and some
are for future dreamers to know.

"They decree, the world is traveling to some distant point,
where peace is laid as pathways within the divine heart, of each.
They know the earth is renewing, herself, from all that has passed by,
as they dream of her rivers flowing once more
and her love shining, through each sunset and dawn.

"Such a vision seems like heaven, I know, for indeed it most surely is.
It's a place where forgiveness is given and awareness is born,
that gives rise to the spiritual altitude that I, the blue bird, have seen
and have come to know—in my dreams and visions--
flying high above it all."

Truth

What is true is the sunlight that falls on my face.

What is true is that which is found in the heart.
It is a love that seeks to navigate and guide our course
through the truth of our heart's calling,
that tells us what to embrace and what to release,
which path to follow and when to walk away.

This guide of truth inside of us
is always guiding us on the course of peace
and the fulfillment of love—within.

Joy

Joy is the color of the sun,
with droplets of gold touching the falling leaf.
It is the breath that opens the rose's unfurling petals,
and lifts them, so gently, off the flowers face,
so that what lies beneath, on the inner levels of the soul, can be revealed.

Joy is in the turbulent branches of the tree,
swaying in the breeze of changing realities,
and yet its trunk stands steady,
able to withstand the tides that the world instills.

Joy exists in the fields of buttercups
whose delight and happiness give to them their dance,
in the playing fields of life.
They are not alone, as they are set amongst the daisies' smiling faces
and the crocus—with its deep purples--
who remain from their springtime emergence,
and who capture one last embrace of the soft light before summer ensues.

Joy can be seen in the children's faces
who are playing in the summer of their lives,
before they taste the changing seasons
that come to further their growth,
and birth within the wisdom that they will need to live within this world.

Happiness exists everywhere, in everything and everyone.
Yet, it is as delicate as the rainbow's stance within the air,
as it captures both the rain and sunlight.
And yet its image and the delightful surprise that it brings
can be held and nurtured in the heart, forever.

There exists just this moment where varying realities sing their song,
and where we make a choice as to which melody our thoughts and mind may flow.
But within the heart and in the soul, there is only one true song that is eternal.
This song is always calling, and its gift is of love,
and yet its tune and eternal melody is one of joy, existing within love's presence.

The Day's Descent

When the day is done
and the sun returns,
moving back towards its origin,
beyond the horizon,
I know that  there will be other days like this;
there will be other moments in the sun, and so many other adventures.

So, as the last rays of this day touch my face
and its illumination begins to fade,
I will be glad, feel blessed and happy, for all that this day has made
and created within me, in this day's experience.

I will gather with the birds now  to watch the sun's setting,
soon to return to my nest
where I will sleep and dream
a whole new day
into being
—with all the promise that day may also bring.

Just Rest Awhile

Just rest awhile, within my heart,
and let the world dissolve.
Just come to me, in this deepest place,
and hear love's song.

It's a lullaby that dreams of you,
and the wholeness of your being,
as you come to me, and I imbue
the love, that fills all need.

Rest within me, my beloved child,
come deep inside my heart,
for I am here, and have always been,
of you, I am a part.

Sing softly now, along with me,
and forget all that has been
your experience of not knowing me--
it's an illusion, a bad dream.

But we are home, together now,
as I hold you within love,
and help you to know, there has never been
any other need that you have.

Come rest awhile, within this truth,
and find your state of peace.
Come rest awhile, within this love,
and find heaven in this place.

Just To Be

Just to be, a silent witness to the wind, stirring in the tree.
Just to be present, long enough, to let peace be.

Just to love myself, enough, in every day,
to know that past does not matter,
and the future has yet to be.

Just to know, that if I stop a while,
and feel the presence of my heart,
within it, there is so much love,
that I never have to fear,

what I will feel,

if I allow myself
 to stand still.

Like a tree

stirring

 in the

 wind.
